The St. Mary’s & Theresa men’s prayer group sponsored an appreciation breakfast for 25 inmates from the Meade County Detention Center on Saturday December the 12th @ 7:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s parish hall in response to the declaration by Pope Francis of the Year of Mercy beginning on December 8.

Jailer J. J. Scarborough welcomed the opportunity for us to express our appreciation for the service provided by the inmates who do many projects in our community and to let them know that we would be remembering them during Christmas season, knowing that they would be separated from their families. In addition to a BIG breakfast each inmate and staff member present was presented with the book “Rediscover Jesus” written by Matthew Kelly.
